Job description
We are looking to replace a timber bay window in our kitchen. It is a timber structure and all the wood that runs along the window ledge on the exterior has rotted, despite being fixed and kept painted since we bought the house 14 years ago. Prior to purchasing the home the window was in disrepair and had a few leaks. I do not necessarily want there to be glass on the top section in the new window, but am open to suggestions from you as to what is possible to replace this window with. Refer attached photos. The large window area is 3.1 meters x 1.13 meters consisting of 4 sections as per the photo. The side awning windows are 52cm wide and 85 cms high. This does not include the angle part above the window. I have some photos of the internals from when we had the kitchen replaced. There are 4 studs for the wall structure under the window plus the 2 x corners - but the window only has 3 uprights plus one on each corner. So the timber that separates the window panes is not structural. Sorry, I was trying to upload a fewphotos but it kept failing. Happy to send through photos upon request.
